And Barbara here’s a confession! I still haven’t RSVPd to the party! I feel like a teenager too scared to call the first boy who has asked me out on a date – too scared to get it wrong . Must do it soon though as the party is next week. And I will definitely be back to let you know how it goes..

I’ve chosen not to name or give the sex of my two teens. I refer to them as my youngest and my oldest.

Mothers of younger children will probably have better advise on the typical 4-yr-old party. But, if you could bear the risk, I encourage you to RSVP without noting your child’s diagnosis. I’m new to your blog – so I say that without knowing how much risk that might involve. Then, of course, the outcome will be a lot about you – how you manage the response of the b-day host.

I wouldn’t leave my 4-yr-old in anybody’s home unless I knew them very well.

And yes, i totally understand your decision to use blog names. I’m sure people could find us if they wanted to, but it adds just that extra little level of distance from the ‘real world’. It just makes it harder to google them.

And anyway, i like the nicknames.
